However, since it is possible for mobs to travel perhaps the length of a county before they can be stopped by defenders, a county can share a threat from a more dangerous adjacent county.
For example, Gordon County GA is shown as being one of the few "safe" counties in that state. But it is bounded on the north and south by two counties rated as "Certain Death" and, to the southwest, by a third county rated as "Damned Certain Death." Gordon County residents can therefore expect an invasion by both refugees and marauders during the die-off.
