The Apocalypse
It has begun.

"Children died, days grew cold, a crust of bread would buy a bag of gold."
—Christian Hymn

In the early 20th century, Adolf Hitler and Germany offered the world a philosophy and a way of living that was probably the single hope for Mankind's effective surmounting of the disaster that is now nearly upon us. Hitler's ideas were arrogantly and viciously rejected. But National Socialism was the right way to live: in intelligent accord with nature. By refusing it, humanity incurred a penalty, and payment will soon be enforced by the laws of nature.

The depletion of crude oil reserves and natural gas during the early 21st century will cause the collapse of industrial civilization and a reduction of the world's human population to levels consistent with hoe-and-spade agriculture. Others have already described it well. For examples, see these pages:

http://dieoff.org/page137.htm

http://www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/

To the warnings of David Price and Matt Savinar, I will make my own modest contribution.

Since the 1960s, people in the know with the oil industry have been warning of the eventual depletion of fossil fuels. They've been saying that our world will be broken, civilization smashed, when the deposits of crude oil run out. Every informed prediction placed the onset of the cataclysm in the first half of the 21st century, with the troubles continuing until the early 22nd.

Among the more interesting predictions is this one. The world's population in 2050 is expected to be between 9 billion and 11 billion. In 2100, though, the world's population is expected to be four billion at most and possibly as few as 400 million. Canada, the USA, and Mexico at present have more people than this between them.

Certain UN projections made since World3 have been "sanitized" for political reasons. Don't believe any projection that simply shows the human population of the globe going up without end. You can find one of those falsely optimistic charts here. My graph below is a more accurate picture of Earth's future human population.

Indeed, the lower population figure may be optimistic. For several centuries during the Middle Ages, the human population of the world hovered around 400 million, which can be presumed the stable population level based on hoe-and-spade agriculture, if augmented by an established system of agricultural trade. Mechanized agriculture, through the overuse of tractors (resulting in lost topsoil) and artificial fertilizers (resulting in sterile topsoil), will have made the Earth much less responsive to hoe-and-spade farming in 2100 than it was in 1200.

Can you appreciate what that must mean? It means that there's going to be a massive die-off of humanity, along with a great deal of this planet's life. What will happen in the next hundred years will be of geological importance, the like of which hasn't happened since the extinction of the dinosaurs, 65 million years ago.

We are about to get clobbered. Technology won't save us. Technology was invented to use energy; it doesn't create new energy resources. Even technological improvements in our ability to tap energy depend on the availability of a sufficient energy resource to be tapped. That's the problem: there won't be any such resource. There never will be a "Star Trek" future. Homo sapiens is nearly finished as a technical species.

Oh, we might have done it. We might have reached the methane oceans of Titan, or set up ten thousand nuclear reactors on the moon. With the resources of the whole solar system at our command, we might have found even interstellar travel possible. But we didn't take advantage of the generous window of opportunity that nature had given us. And now it's too late. Burn your science fiction books; they'll only make our descendants sad for a future that will never be theirs. But keep your fantasy novels. They'll enjoy those.

You may want to read what I wrote about apocalypse conspiracies.

You have maybe 20 years to provision and fortify yourself against privation, happenstance, and banditry. Cities will be worse than the countryside, but the countryside will certainly not be safe. Humanity may become extinct in very large regions, surviving only in pockets where food will still grow. Get yourself into one of those pockets, then, before the competition gets too stiff. Buy a few acres of land. Secure your title from legal challenges. Secure your possession from illegal ones. Provision yourself against natural ones. Keep a low profile. Listen to the wind. Heed your instinctive warning feelings. And wait.

I'm 44 years old. My parents' generation was the last not to be affected by the depletion of fossil fuels. My generation will be the first to be affected somewhat—about when I'm 65 years old. Since beyond that moment retirement will be the same as death, you can appreciate the morbid, cynical joke implied by the phrase "retirement age." My daughter's generation will be the first to be hit hard in mid-life. My grandchildren will live most of their lives after the crash. My great-grandchildren will never know any other life but that of the post-industrial chaos.

If anything deserves to be called the Apocalypse of the Book of Revelations, then the 21st century die-off surely is it. Nasty times are coming. They won't last forever, but they will occupy perhaps 50 to 90 years of the near future. When those who are to die in the troubles have died, when all those who remain are able to support themselves without electricity or petro-chemicals, then people can begin to trust each other again. But not before. You must carry your family successfully through every one of the dangerous years, during which one misstep, a single error of judgment, might be fatal.

National Socialism offered us genuine salvation in the 1930s. We chose the opium of materialism, the cocaine of Democracy, and the methamphetimine of decadent amusements, instead. And so, we've failed, and Earth will never get another chance produce a species able to climb out of its planetary cradle. We had our chance, and we lost it through treason and stupidity. We became deluded with the fantasies of racial equality and capitalism. The Jews, never ones to value eternal destinies, used these ideas as political weapons, but they were able to harm us so much only because we were criminally gullible.

It's possible, though not certain, that 2004 is the last year in which our present civilization can carry on with business as usual. After the presidential election this November, some of the political pressure to keep the oil prices from hitting their first spikes will be off. Petroleum will become much more costly; and consequently so will the cost of manufacturing and distributing goods. If you want to prepare for the crash, you'd probably better do it this year. Although it might be possible for another 20 years to obtain necessary goods, their prices may rise sharply after 2004.

I've been hearing objections to the Peak Oil argument that have been fully answered already by the criticized writers. I answer, again, the most common objection. Nuclear power can't become available fast enough to offset the lessening power available from fossil fuels. Neither can any other energy source be made sufficient in the remaining time. It's too late, now, to avoid a hard crash.

The human lifespan is short in relation to the march of events in history. The generation that must die off was "outvoted" by the generations that enjoyed the good times. Or, rather, the generation that must face its own destruction never had a chance to vote in opposition to the course of action that made that destruction unavoidable.

Incidentally, the "people" images decorating the US Census website heavily exaggerate the proportion of non-Whites in the US population. I counted four niggers, a spic, an Asian, and three Whites. I think that two of the "Whites" were Jews. Blacks are over-represented by a factor of 3.4. Aryans are under-represented by a factor of 6.6. Jews are over-represented by a factor of 8.2. Who's being erased here?

Oilcrash: What to do?
The Busby Report by John Busby
Interdependence Day LO28816, by Heidi and Dan Chay

Interdependence, as the term is meant by liberals, is a dangerous socialist myth that leads to a "tragedy in the commons" kind of failure. True interdependence is an organic growth of trust and custom; it can never be achieved through social engineering. True interdependence never needs to be advertized or advocated: it develops naturally over time. Consequently, when you hear "interdependence" being touted by someone as the answer to any global problem, the sort of interdependence being referred to is nearly always a false hope. The slightest whiff of bureaucracy or legal coercion invalidates any scheme of socio-economic interdependence.

Surving the Apocalypse.

It is mathematically impossible for the Earth to carry the 6.4 billion people it now has without mechanized agriculture, to say nothing of the nine billion humans who will exist at the peak of the population growth curve. The crash will slam the global population back to the pre-industrial agricultural level (perhaps 2 billion) at best and, possibly, as far back as the Stone Age level (500 million or fewer).

Here's an analogy. You can "live high" on your credit cards, spending to your limit, borrowing all the money you can, and then using the money that you have to buy lots of nice things. Then the bills come due for payment, and you can't pay them, so the creditors send the sheriff to take all your nice things away from you and leave you with nothing except a bad reputation. It's very stupid for someone to try to get through life this way, but apparently there are lots of stupid people. Let's hope they all die. The very worst thing civilization did was keep the least fit humans alive so that they could breed more defective humans, and stupidity is the worst sort of defectiveness.

Mechanized agriculture permits a boom of productivity for a while, but at the expense of "burning up" the land's natural fertility. It's stupid for the same reason that abusing credit is stupid, except instead of impoverishing a single person, it impoverishes an entire world.

Just as a credit-moocher tells himself that "something" will happen to relieve him of his debt, that this get-rich-quick scheme or that chain letter will make him wealthy, and is surprised with these methods don't really work, so also do entire nations tell themselves that "someone" will "do something" about an approaching disaster. What it is, they don't know. Who will do it, they couldn't tell you. But people will deceive themselves, for as long as they can, with such lies because those lies make them feel comfortable.

In fact, someone did try to do something. His name was Adolf Hitler. And we know what happened to him, don't we? Hitler might not have foreseen the end of the Industrial Age, but the National Socialist philosophy for living with nature, respecting its limits, with an eye on eternal sustainability, would have prevented the damage that capitalist materialism was fated to do. But now it is too late even for a Hitler to save the world from the die-off. We must perforce go over Niagara in a barrel.

Not everyone will survive. Most people will die of starvation, disease or violence. That much is absolutely certain. But it matters who lives and who dies. Earth's best must not disappear from existence, and its best is the White race. Misguided though we have been, weakened by decadence though we have become, and however often we have been used for evil by the tricky Jews, we are still the most creative creatures that have ever come out of the evolutionary shuffle on this planet. We shall not give ground to any lesser race of hominid.

When the die-comes, we will be ready. We will make our own food, and we will keep it for ourselves, and we will destroy it rather than see it taken—but we will first do our best to kill anyone who tries to do the taking. If we perish we will at least have reduced the number of bandits that the next White family must face. Eventually, if we are resolute, there will be no bandits left.

While you can, get the following supplies:

A large backpack by a dependable manufacturer. Good brands include: Dana Designs, Gregory, The North Face, Arcteryx and Osprey. Make it a large backpack, upwards of 4000 cubic inches or 65 liters. Make certain that it fits your body shape, especially your torso and hip measurements. A well-fitted backpack can let you transport for miles a load that would wear you out quickly if you tried to carry it in your arms.

Fishing hooks and animal traps. Reasons are obvious.

Starter bits and seed for farm crops. I recommend potatoes and wheat, but you decide what is best for your circumstances.

An interim supply of survival food. It should be high in nutrition density, but low in cost. You need enough of it to carry you through at least one year, and preferably two years. And your family, if you have one. Beware of rip-off artists. During the phony Y2K scare, a lot of scammers came out of the woodwork to take advantage of people's fears. Although the die-off is a real event, not a scare, the same scammers will again be out in force. Don't overpay for the necessary items, if you don't have to. If you buy them early enough, you won't have to.

Consider buying whole wheat at animal feed stores, where you can get 100 pounds of edible grain (might want to cook it first) for under $12. Make sure that the wheat is for FEED, not SEED, because seed grain is treated with poison. Animal feed wheat and people feed wheat differs mainly in the amount of chaff left in it, and not by much. You can wind-winnow the wheat to eliminate most of the excess chaff. Try sprouting the wheat germ by soaking it in water for a few hours, and afterward keeping them damp for a couple of days. Sprouted wheat kernels is among the most nutritious foods there are.

Manually operated tools. Spoons. Forks. Knives. Cleavers. Hatches. Axes. Mauls. Saws. Files. Pitchforks. Hoes. Rakes. Shovels. Hole-diggers. Drills. Screwdrivers. Hammers and nails. Mallets. Shears for paper, for pruning, for metal. A flint-and-steel mechanism for making a fire. Hand-operated grain mills and water pumps, and any necessary fittings or attachments.

A wood stove. Keeps you warm in the winter and lets you heat water and preserve food during that season. You'll need some heavy iron pots to focus the heat if you want the temperature to get high enough to boil water. You'll need a renewable supply of wood to operate the woodstove. You should probably acquire a very strongly constructed thermos bottle to cook your food in because this reduces the amount of wood that you must burn in order to do the cooking.

Kerosene. A hundred gallons of kerosene and a few kerosene lanterns. Kerosene can give you light at night, and it can facilitate the starting of fires.

Cigaret lighters. Having a hundred of these can enable you to start fires for warmth for a lifetime, provides that someone doesn't steal them from you, and provided that you don't waste their fuel on lighting cigarets. You should have stopped smoking already. The good news is that there won't be any easy way to get cigarets after the Crash, unless you grow your own tobacco. Don't.

Your car or truck. Keeping your fuel tank full of gasoline and, once the Crash makes refueling impossible, using it only for life-and-death emergencies (you're a fool if you use it for anything else, then) can be very beneficial. A supply of gasoline to the side is also useful, but be aware that gasoline separates into its paraffin components, with the lightest (pentane) gradually evolving into gas and blowing away. It has a shelf life, in other words. After there is no more gasoline, you may be able to use your vehicle as a small greenhouse or temporary shelter.

Books. Many of them are educational, and you should do your part to preserve knowledge. But just as importantly, you will need something to distract you from the sorry spectacle of all those unprepared people, running around and wailing in a panic, asking for food that you can't afford to give them, tearing the world apart in their desperation. Of course, if they try to tear your part of the world apart, you must put the book down and pick up your pistol, at least until the threat has been eliminated.

Guns. For hunting and self-defense. Stock up on ammunition of the correct calibers, and don't waste any of it on frivolous bang-bang. You'd be surprised at how much ammo I've heard jackasses living near me use up for no good reason.

Just because you might need to know...

Beware of Confiscation.

Martial law in the United States is unconstitutional, except when required by an actual military attack on the territory of the United States, and in that case it must be limited to the region that is being invaded. Such has been the law of the land.

There has been a series of executive orders that, if activated by the President of the United States, would have the effect of repealing the Constitution of the United States, which is an illegal thing to do because our government is legal only as long as it obeys the Constitution. The activation of the offending executive orders would at once render the U.S. government illegal, which means that any orders it gives are also illegal. In that case, all American military officers and soldiers in arms are obliged to disregard and to disobey all further orders from the illegal government, until such time as the American people have instituted forms of government that serve them better than the old ones did.

Here's a list of the offending executive orders, any of which will render the U.S. government illegal and will confer a legal obligation upon the armed forces of the United States to revolt if they are activated:

EO 10995. Seizure of all means of communication.
EO 10997. Seizure of all electric power, fuels, and minerals.
EO 10999. Seizure of all means of transportation and military control of highways, etc.
EO 11000. Enslavement of the American people.
EO 11001. Seizure of all hospitals, schools, and "welfare facilities." EO 11002. Registration of civilian population by postmaster general.
EO 11003. Seizure of all airports and aircraft.
EO 11004. Authority to declare areas as "unsafe" and require abandonment by civilian population, forcibly removing them if necessary.
EO 11005. Seizure of all railroads, inland waterways, and storage facilities.
EO 12919. Combines all the above Executive Orders.

EO 11004 really imposes no conditions on why an area might become "unsafe." One of the ways it could be unsafe is if the government is about to send soldiers there to kill everybody they find. The government can generate its own pretexts for the exercise of this executive order.

EO 11005 applies to any rented storage compartment you might be keeping your stuff in, and it applies also to the broom closet in your house.

EO 11000 permits the government to separate families. The husband goes off to the labor camp. The wife becomes a prostitute required to service lonely infantrymen. The kids of Christians will be raised thereafter in Atheist homes, and vice versa. White families will be forced to adopt nigger babies, and White girls will be put in Negro homes, where their "foster brothers" will rape them every single day...until the family gets hungry enough to kill her, gut her bloody carcass, carve it into meaty portions, and bake them for a few more meals.

The federal government has built a program by which the state governments will devolve into mere agencies of the federal government upon the imposition of martial law. Confiscation of civilian resources, such as food, can be carried out according to state laws that restrict "hoarding."

What is "hoarding," anyway? When a citizen keeps an amount of food or other useful material, which the government regards as significant, or, as they will likely say, "excessive," and fails to turn it over to the government when the government demands it, then he is "hoarding." He is a "hoarder." The implication is that the citizen is cheating usually unspecified others of their due, and therefore that he, the hoarder, deserves punishment and the confiscation of his property.

None of which, of course, is true. The words "hoarding" and "hoarder" are maliciously loaded terms, intentionally pejorative and aimed at inciting action based upon envy. The word "hoarding" implies that evil exists where there is none, sets at naught the virtues of frugality and foresight, and twists the goodness of justice into the evil of robbery.

If I buy 100 pounds of grain today, nobody will accuse me of hoarding it. If I save that grain through the years, nobody will think that I have wronged them with my frugality...until there's a famine. Suddenly, everybody who knows that I have that 100 pounds of grain will want some, and he can easily be persuaded by the government that he deserves to get some of my saved-up grain. The government, intending to grab my grain and mostly use it to feed its corrupt police and soldiers, will steal my grain from me, referring loudly to "the public good," as if it intended to turn all of that grain over to "the needy," whose consent to robbing me was obtained by false promises. Maybe some of the grain will go to my envious fellow citizens; most of it, though, will be eaten by the favorites of the ruling government. If there is an exception, it will be an exception made for show; that is, for public relations purposes.

Not everyone will survive the Apocalypse. The arithmatic of the food shortage is clear, and there is only one right answer: most will die. But it has been possible for a long time, and will remain possible for several years yet, for anyone to become better prepared for the die-off than he presently is. Everyone who does not, chose not to act. Let each person live or die by the consequences of his own choices. Some people will foresee hard times, as I have, and will prepare themselves. Others will fail to see, or, having been told, will fail to act wisely. These people have marked themselves for death during the times of population rebalance. They will have no moral claim on the property or on the labor of the prepared, however great their needs might be. Though they die for their folly, they have no right to get a single bean or kernel from anybody else. The government will have no right to do their stealing for them.

Of course, having no moral right to do something isn't going to stop the federal government from trying to do it anyway. So there are a few things you should do to anticipate the confiscation of your food. First, you might consider poisoning some of it. When the confiscators come, you may decide whether to tell them the actual size and nature of your provisions. If you do, they will want to know where they are located. You may decide whether to tell them. If you do, they will take your food away from you. At this point, you can decide whether to inform them that some of it is poisoned. They will ask you to identify the poisoned box(es) of food. At this point, you can say, "I don't know which boxes are the poisoned ones, since they were identified only by the order in which they were stacked, and you have already moved them." Or you can say, "I know, but I won't tell you." Or you can lie to them about which boxes are the poisoned ones.

Whatever you do, though, remember that these people will be ruthless. They might kill you, or your family members, as a punishment for withholding information. But let's face it: if you lose your food, you are going to die anyway. Your family will also die. It will be kinder for you and yours to be killed quickly, by pistol shot, than slowly by starvation.

Probably, your best option is to play a charade. Pretend that you are hungrier than you really are. In order to keep up appearances, you may need to go on a diet and lose some body fat; i.e., don't eat as much as you could eat, and endure discomfort now so that you can preserve your food-storage secrets and continue eating later. When federal food relief wagons come around, get out and clamor as pitifully as everyone else is doing. (Yes, this is disgusting, but if you don't do it, the police will wonder why you aren't desperate, and they will want to search your house.)

In the long run, confiscation would not save anybody, even if all the confiscated foods really were used for "the public good." A hundred people would live for one week on what had been one man's two-year supply, assuming none of the food were wasted during fights. And then all 100 of them would die. Confiscation would have exactly one result: everyone would starve, fairly, together. In the end, everyone would be dead.

On the other hand, when confiscation does not occur, or when it is successfully evaded, some will out-live others: the prepared will eventually inhabit a depopulated world; the wisest, most provident people will inherit the Earth, to begin again the story of civilization, this time with more wisdom in regard to the use of resources.

While it is certainly true that Adolf Hitler offered this wisdom to mankind in time to have avoided the post peak oil die-off, most people can plead ignorance of the consequences of rejecting that wisdom in 1945. But soon nobody will be able creditably to pretend to be ignorant.

Apocalypse Quisine and Die-Off Desserts.

Funny section title, huh? During the early years following the termination of electric power and suspension of mechanized agriculture, lots of people will be starving to death. You need not be one of them, if you will prepare for the End sufficiently ahead of time. Our pioneer ancestors had to put up with all the hardships, dangers and privations that you will be experiencing. They were just better physically and mentally prepared to deal with their problems than you will probably be. They could kill an Indian and not feel too guilty about it, for example.

A lot of you might be wondering whether your food will lack appeal once there aren't any more restaurants that can cook for you or factories that can prepare packaged treats. I've discovered that the answer is: maybe, but not necessarily. Consider the following recipe:

Jerry Abbott's Famous Wheat Cakes - revised 4 April 2004

Light a fire in your woodstove, so that it will burn a good while. With a hand-operated mill, grind some of the wheat that you bought at the Animal Feed Store (before it went out of business) until you have made 3 cups of flour (don't pack it down). Combine the flour in a bowl with 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Mix well. Add enough water to make dough. Put dough into a 12-biscuit pan in even dollops. Put pan on top of wood stove and cover with a cast-iron lid to keep the heat in. Wait until the cakes are done baking, then remove from heat and let cool. If desired, smear a little peanut butter on top of the cakes for icing. Makes a dozen small cakes. Great served with coffee, if you have any.

When cooking over a wood stove, the bottom of a pan sometimes gets too hot causing food to burn and stick to the pan. Partly, this problem can be overcome through flouring the pan before pouring the dough in. But a full remedy involves elevating the bottom of the pan over the top of the wood stove with a metal grill set 1/4 to 1/2 inch over the stove. It is necessary, then, to set a heavy metal cover (such as a cast-iron lid) over the top of the pan to contain and spread the heat from the fire in such a way that it evenly cooks the food.

I just now made some of these wheat cakes, and after eating three of them I don't hesitate to give them my complete endorsement. They taste better than most vending machine snacks, and they're healthier to eat. Not to mention a lot cheaper.

A rambling comment.

I think that possibly the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were largely contrived by the U.S. government itself, in collusion with the government of Israel and with the voluntary cooperation of Osama bin Laden. Why do I think so?

Well-established air traffic control policies, including the scrambling of military fighters to investigate commercial flight path deviations, were disregarded for enough time to allow the hijackers to do their jobs. It doesn't appear to be a slip-up due to technical failure or someone sleeping on the job.

Several European governments, including that of France, gave the U.S. government ample advance warning of the impending attacks, including who was involved and how it would probably be carried out.

There are known links between the family of George Bush and the family of Osama bin Laden.

Restraint was placed on US military forces in Afghanistan, preventing the capture of the Al Quaeda leaders "too soon" because it wasn't desirable to focus US objectives in the region "too narrowly."

The Bush administration put pressure on the CIA to find some link - any link - between Al Quaeda and Iraq. The demand was made repeatedly. The CIA was repeatedly unable to discover any such link.

Paul Wolfowitz has as much as admitted that the "weapons of mass destruction" justification for attacking Iraq was a convenient, and false, pretext...all along.

One explanation accounts for all the above facts. The U.S. government, including President Bush, appears to have been engaged in a pattern of conspiracy that includes multiple acts of high treason against the United States by the definition of the crime given in the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. government appears to have committed, or facilitated the commisions of, acts of war against American civilian targets within the territory of the United States.

I'm not the only one who has thought of it. You can read what Michael Meacher says in THE GUARDIAN at

http://politics.guardian.co.uk/iraq/comment/0,12956,1036687,00.html

The objective of this conspiracy, since before 9-11, indeed since before Bush was elected President, was to secure control of Middle Eastern oil for the use of the United States and Israel. Historically and logically, this is more than sufficient reason to conspire, more than ample reason to act. But, owing to the humanitarian sentiments of most Americans and to the habitual duplicity of the Jews, the governments of Israel the the US decided to make a sneaky job of it, incidentally sacrificing the World Trade Center towers along the way.

Why did Osama bin Laden cooperate, as he evidently did? Maybe he did it to become a hero in the eyes of the Arab peoples among whom he lives. Or perhaps he was the victim of Jewish deception and manipulation.

What is absolutely clear is that Americans were lied into yet another war. What is also clear is that the leaders of the United States and Israel are determined to have, to use for their own ends, the last remnant of Earth's fossil fuels so that they can begin the post-industrial age with an advantage over all rival groups. Though I'm not certain what the status of the average Jew is in their schemes, I'm quite certain that the status of the average American (and the average Canadian or European) is expendable. In this game, the Arabs are our allies, simply because they are in the same castaway position as we find ourselves.

After the chaos of the die-off period is over, the survivors who have learned how to live without fossil fuels will probably discover that industrial civilization did not, in fact, improve human life in any important way. When the oil economy was going strong in the 1940s, the great mass of people were led to believe that leisure would soon be theirs. Not only was this a lie, it was a sneering, transparent lie that should have deceived no one. Don't believe me? Look at the ads in magazines from the 1940s. Those snappy-looking people in the luxury car, with the nice clothes, the gaudy jewelry, and the blissful, carefree faces of souls already in Heaven were supposed to have been the ordinary man and woman in just a few more years. Did it really work out that way, sucker?

All of the extravagant promises of capitalist materialism were lies. Machine civilization did spare most people the necessity of certain kinds of work, but then other kinds of work became obligatory, leaving people with no net increase of discretionary time. As the result of adopting the capitalist-consumerist way of life, most people had less free time than a farmer living by the sweat of his brow, not more. Most people became more subject to the will of someone else, not less. The toys people had were sleeker, but not as well made. The media made certain that you heard about people flying in jets, subtly implying that you could too, even though you couldn't afford it. Political and socioeconomic elites, welfare bums, and liberal-favored racial minorities soaked up wealth in vast disproportion to the value of the work they did, if they did any, and the industrial way of life was a bad deal for many workers, despite constant media propaganda to the contrary.

Now the treacherous elites, the Jews and other screw-ups who wrecked the world, are aiming to be the seed stock of a new human race, like at the end of the movie Dr. Strangelove. The worst of the bad, the ones whose ambition most greatly exceeds their competence, the very people whose queen-bee lifestyles make them the most unsuited for the life of pioneer, will try to get everyone else killed, through starvation at least, and maybe with some kind of genocidal military action as well, so that they can begin anew.

Soldiers are often brave, but they are seldom wise. Although few of them would shoot their own family members, even on orders to do so, a soldier from Seattle would kill someone else's family if he were told that the people in his gun sights were terrorists, or disloyal insurrectionists, or some other legitimizing excuse. The people whom he shoots might be the family of a soldier in St. Paul, who, at the time, is gunning down the family of a soldier from Charleston, who, in turn, is murdering the family of the soldier from Seattle.

It occurs to none of them that the result is the same as it would have been if each was tasked with the assassination of his own family.

There's another sort of foolishness to which soldiers are often prey. Once most of the goy civilian population has perished, whether through starvation or massacre makes no difference, most of the soldiers will be expendable. Some of the soldiers will understand this; some will not. But every soldier will believe the assurances he is told that he, personally, is in high favor with the decision-makers and that he should not worry that he will be among the culls when the time for culling arrives.

And when that time does arrive, every soldier selected for culling will be surprised. Every one. His former comrades, upon orders, possibly told tales of his disloyalty, will happily shoot him dead.

So, soldiers: wise up. Wise up real fast.

You federal policemen should be thinking about these things also, since you are, in a sense, soldiers in the pay of a corrupt regime, hired to oppress people with the enforcement of unjust laws. What will happen to most of the soldiers will also happen to you, though probably in a more juridic sort of way. Eventually, the laws you are biting others with will begin to bite you and yours, though you may be spared as a matter of professional courtesy for a time.

Perhaps the most widespread evil is the Western view of man and nature. Among us, it is widely believed that man is apart from nature, superior to it; indeed, evolution is a process to create man and seat him on the apex of the cosmic pinnacle. He views the earth as a treasury that he can plunder at will. And, indeed, the behavior of Western people, notably since the advent of the Industrial Revolution, gives incontrovertible evidence to support this assertion.

— Ian McHarg, 1971

It has often been said that, if the human species fails to make a go of it here on the Earth, some other species will take over the running. In the sense of developing intelligence this is not correct. We have or soon will have, exhausted the necessary physical prerequisites so far as this planet is concerned. With coal gone, oil gone, high-grade metallic ores gone, no species however competent can make the long climb from primitive conditions to high-level technology. This is a one-shot affair. If we fail, this planetary system fails so far as intelligence is concerned. The same will be true of other planetary systems. On each of them there will be one chance, and one chance only.

— Sir Fred Hoyle, 1964

First struggle and then we shall see what can be done. Otherwise mankind has passed the high point of its development and the end is not the domination of any ethical idea but barbarism and consequently chaos. At this point someone or other may laugh, but this planet once moved through space for millions of years without human beings and it can do so again some day if men forget that they owe their higher existence, not to the ideas of a few crazy ideologists, but to the knowledge and ruthless application of Nature's stern and rigid laws. Everything we admire on this earth today—science and art, technology and inventions—is only the creative product of a few peoples and originally perhaps of one race. On them depends the existence of this whole culture. If they perish, the beauty of this earth will sink into the grave with them.

— Adolf Hitler

It is unlikely that anything quite like human beings will come this way again. The resources that have made humans what they are will be gone, and there may not be time before the sun burns out for new deposits of fossil fuel to form and intelligent new scavengers to evolve. The universe seems to have had a unique beginning, some ten or twenty billion years ago. Since that time, a star had to live and die to provide the materials for the solar system—which, itself, is several billion years old. Perhaps life could not have happened any sooner than it did. Perhaps Homo sapiens could not have evolved any sooner. Or later. Perhaps everything has its season, a window of opportunity that opens for a while, then shuts.

— David Price

Other factors remaining constant, culture evolves as the amount of energy harnessed per capita per year is increased, or as the efficiency of the instrumental means of putting the energy to work is increased. … We may now sketch the history of cultural development from this standpoint.

— Leslie White, "White's Law"

Jerry Abbott's comment: White's Law leaves too much implicit. Other factors are not constant, and in particular the racial factor in those "instrumental means" is an important variable. Race can be thought of as an index to the efficiency with which energy is transformed into culture. Some races of humans transform energy into culture with great efficiency; other races do so only inefficiently, if at all.

Any number of factors could be cited as the 'causes' of collapse. I believe, however, that the collapse will be strongly correlated with an epidemic of permanent blackouts of high-voltage electric power networks worldwide. Briefly explained: When the electricity goes out, you are back in the Dark Age. And the Stone Age is just around the corner.

— Richard Duncan

How does this relate to the Bush cabal and the war in Iraq? The super rich of the world are in possession of this information. They know the cornerstone of Western civilization is electricity, powered mostly by oil, and they know it's running out. Their objective is to get control of all of it, for that incredible day that will soon arrive when the blackouts start. The blackouts, Duncan writes, will become more and more frequent until one day, most of the world will be blacked out, except for the super rich in their armored compounds. Don't think that Donald Rumsfeld's house will be blacked out. He and his friends will have cornered the electricity market (actually, he'll be dead by then, but his heirs and disciples will be in control of the power supply by then—and this is to say nothing about water). So the push into Iraq, and soon into Saudi Arabia, will be aimed at securing enough oil to forestall blackout day for the rich for as long as possible. The majority of the rest of the world will be plunged into darkness and primitivism long before that, and the world will evolve into a two-tiered system, even moreso than it is now. Because there will be those with power, and those who are left in the dark.

— John Kaminski, The Awful Secret

When Yellowstone's caldera blows several thousand cubic kilometers of volcanic ash into the upper atmosphere, as it eventually will, people won't have fossil fuels to help them survive through the ensuing five years of darkness. What a shame it is that humanity was induced, by Jewish materialism, to squander it all for luxuries, for "wealth," and to concentrate power into a few, mostly Jewish, hands.

— Jerry Abbott

That resigned submission to the terrible law of decay—that acceptance of the bondage of time by creatures who dimly feel that they could be free from it, but who find it hard to try to free themselves; who know beforehand that they would never succeed, even if they did try—is at the bottom of that incurable unhappiness of man, deplored again and again in the Greek tragedies, and long before these were written. Man is unhappy because he knows, because he feels, in general, that the world in which he lives and of which he is a part, is not what it should be, what it could be. He cannot wholeheartedly accept that world as his—specially not accept the fact that it is going from bad to worse—and be glad. However much he may try to be a "realist" and snatch from destiny whatever he can, when he can, still an invincible yearning for the better remains at the bottom of his heart. He cannot, in general, will the world as it is.

But a few people, as rare as the liberated ones, for whom time does not exist, and perhaps rarer, can and do. These are the most thorough, the most mercilessly effective agents of the death forces on earth: supremely intelligent, and sometimes extraordinarily farsighted; always unscrupulous to the utmost; working without hesitation and without remorse in the sense of the downward process of history and, whether they can see or not as far as that, for its logical conclusion: the annihilation of man and of all life.

Naturally, they do not always see as far as that. But when they do, still they do not care. Since the law of time is what it is, and since the end must come, it is just as well that they should draw all the profit they possibly can from the process that is, anyhow, sooner or later, to bring about the end.

Since no one can re-create the primeval, lost paradise—no one but the wheel of time itself, after it has rolled its full course—then it is just as well that they, who can completely forget the distant vision, or who never had a glimpse of its dying glow; they, who can stifle in themselves the age old yearning for perfection, or rather, who never experienced it; it is just as well that they, I say, should squeeze out of the fleeing moment (whether minutes or years, it matters little) all the intense, immediate enjoyment they can, until the hour comes when they must die. It is just as well that they should leave their stamp upon the world, force generations to remember them, until the hour comes for the world to die. So they feel.

It makes little difference what suffering they might cause to men or other living creatures, by acting as they do. Both men and creatures are bound to suffer, anyhow. Just as well through them as through others, if that can forward the aims of these people. The aims of these people—of men within time, par excellence—are always selfish aims, even when, owing to their material magnitude and historical importance, they transcend immeasurably any one man's life, as they actually do, sometimes. For selfishness—the claim of the part to more place and to more meaning than is naturally allotted to it within the whole—is the very root of disintegration.

You know how insurance companies reserve the right to add to the list of circumstances for which their coverage does not apply...after you've already paid your money for a policy? Well, my auto insurance policy was recently changed as follows:

5. SECTION IV - PHYSICAL DAMAGE COVERAGES.
b. THERE IS NO COVERAGE FOR LOSS TO ANY VEHICLE THAT RESULTS FROM
(1) NUCLEAR REACTION.
(2) RADIATION OR RADIOACTIVE CONTAMINATION FROM ANY SOURCE.
(3) THE ACCIDENTAL OR INTENTIONAL DETONATION OF, OR RELEASE OF RADIATION FROM, ANY NUCLEAR OR RADIOACTIVE DEVICE.

Evidently, the insurance company doesn't want to suffer any loss in case China decides to fight over possession of the remaining Mideast oil. Strangely, there is another new clause in my policy exempting the insurance company from liability if a fungus damages my car, my other property, or myself. Is there a new fungoid biological weapon that I haven't heard about?
